I replaced the battery on my Gear S3 Frontier. I followed the YT video and had zero issues. When I place the watch on the charger, the watch lights up and displays the percentage of charge. It did charge so the battery must be working okay, it is at 100%. If I press the top "back" button while on the charger it lights up indicating 100%.
