People have taken it the garage and diagnostics come back with nothing. The only way people have been able to prove the fault to the garage is if it occurs when the mechanics test drive it (usually keeping the car for over 2 months). Nothing but trouble with this Punto. Multiple window regulators, poor interior build quality, gearbox that fails after 80,000? I have a Toyota Landcruiser that has done over 300,000km and has only ever had minor servicing. Other smaller Toyota family cars have done similar. Fiat = Cheap, nasty and poor after sales service. Never, ever again.
Hi JFerris321, Same problem here. One week ago happened first time to my GP robotised gearbox (64.000 km/ 2008). One exception: if I shut down the engine, after about 1 hour the gearbox works fine for about 30 minutes Probably now is the transition time from fine working to total fail.
