The DPF regeneration is helped along by altering injector duration, more fuel, EGR and intake adjustments to aid a higher exhaust gas temperature. Push the pipes back on firmly and pop the clip back in place. Start the engine and hold the revs at around 1500-2000rpm for a minute or 2. The engine might have a slight murmur for a second but nothing to worry about. After this take the car for a spin and cut out and restart the engine to be sure all is well.
2.0TDCI. The fuel filter is a paper filter, you unscrew a plastic cap and then put a new one in. It's not like the old style "tin" where you could fill it up with fuel to stop the air. It was only a nuisance not knowing how to do it, once worked out it was OK. Daniel.
